A tasty new look

Eyeshadow and I tend not to mix – I usually pile far too much on and end up leaving grainy clouds of ridiculous pinks and exotic bronzes on my pillow case for a long time after. However, for Burger King I will make an exception.

The fast food joint have added make-up artistry to their list of skills and eat-me marketing messages. In the latest advertising for Burger King Netherlands, an artistic rendition of the chain’s hallowed ‘meat and bun’ combo is pencilled and brushed onto a woman’s closed eyelid. It looks like the ‘Big King XL’ to me with an disproportionate amount of salad. The alarming thing is that in the wonderfully wacky world of make-up, this cuisine-inspired look could catch on – with Illamasqua partnering with London funeral directors Leverton & Sons to provide makeovers to the dead, decorating yourself with foodie imagery seems as common as the burger and fries meal itself.
