While I would not go so far “to put this on the news” (an over-enthuisastic bystander’s remark in this excruciating promo), it does make a quick and humble Monday blog post. The advert in question is an outdoor campaign for Levi’s by the design studio, Sagmeister Inc. It was located on Houston & Lafayette, Soho, NYC (this is hopefully meaningful to any Americans reading), way back in 2010 – perhaps somewhat misfortunately, as I have never seen anything quite like it since.
The billboard innovately demonstrates its slogan by nature as well as by name, with cogs wheels working to rotate the letters into place. “We are all workers” is the resounding outcome, at which NY’s own workforce are left standing still.
